Sree Sabareesa College Community Extension Center is a tribal community development outreach center which identifies tribal areas with special intervention needed and address the problem through multi disciplinary team approach. The extension center was officially launched in 2018 February 10 at Thodupuzha, Idukki district through the visionary discussion and decision taken by the state committee meeting of AMAMS.

Vision

To build the auspicious social and academic environment of Indian tribal community through professional social work incorporate with tribal culture, multiple skill emancipation, socio political mainstreaming and self actualization. 

Operational Area

Community Extension Center Office of Idukki district is situated at Thodupuzha. Intervention of the district office spread across Devikulam, Udumbanchola, Thodupuzha and Peermadu taluks.

Tribal Organic Farmers Forum

Tribal Organic Farmers Forum is a Community Based Organization (CBO) run by Sree Sabareesa College to promote organic framing practices and researches in tribal villages. 10 to 20 tribal farmers in a village constitutes an organic farmers forum and they organizes monthly regular meetings, awareness classes,  traditional organic farming practices of food crops, group farming, seed banking, and bank linkage activities. Volunteers and Social Work Trainees of Sree Sabareesa College conducts periodical visits to forum to learn and develop together with tribal farmers.
